You know when you have a fanfic idea, have it all nice and plotted out and everything, but haven't written it yet, yet specific scenes are stuck in your brain already? Yeah that's me. and my artist curse is that I had to draw the scene or I was gonna implode! So you guys get zero context except this is for my wedding planner au-

not to complain about shrinking fandoms and the general approach to fandom artists as content machines to be squeezed for your enjoyment and then left empty as you move to the next but man can it be depressing sometimes.

gonna sound like an old™ for a hot second, but it really eats at your soul to see what these beloved spaces are becoming after experiencing so much joy and connection before, especially here on tumblr. to look back at the 'golden age' and look at this place that feels less and less like a community and more like something i don't recognize. to see even the most popular art, the most beloved writing have abhorrent like to reblog ratios.

i don't know what happened and it's likely a mixture of so many things, but somehow the naive dickhead in me thought that things would get better, that we would learn from past mistakes, that we would listen to artists and creators. but that is not the case, unfortunately.

It’s scary, the intensity of it, how Danny suddenly wants to guide one of Steve hands on his own neck, wants to feel strong fingers tightening around flesh, cutting his air, giving a new meaning to the word love as he knows it, so they can rebuild it together, shape it into something new and just theirs. “I know,” he exhales against Steve’s lips, wrecked. “I know.”

this is one of my go-to rereads, a lovely little romp in the ocean, so beautifully and evocatively written, it's practically poetry in prose, painting vivid pictures and impressions, highly recommend this fic and this author, steve and danny's love for each other seeps through with every word (and it's also scorching hot 🔥).
